Introduction
The Uttar Pradesh Combined Agriculture and Technology Entrance Test (UPCATET) is a state-level entrance examination conducted annually for admission into undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes in agriculture and allied sciences in Uttar Pradesh.
For the year 2025, the exam is being conducted by Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture & Technology (CSAUK), Kanpur .

Eligibility Criteria for UG
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10+2 / Intermediate or equivalent with subject groups relevant to the programme, such as PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics), PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), Agriculture Science, or Home Science .
Age Limit (as on 31 December 2025):
For most UG programmes: 16 to 22 years.
For B.V.Sc & A.H: 17 to 25 years.
Age relaxation applies for SC/ST/OBC/PwD categories .
Domicile: Candidates must be domicile of Uttar Pradesh or fulfil the UP domicile requirements .

Mode of Exam: Offline, Pen-and-Paper (OMR-based)
Number of Questions: 200 MCQs
Total Marks: 600 marks
Duration: 3 hours
Medium: Hindi and English
Marking Scheme:
+3 marks for each correct answer.
–1 mark for each incorrect answer (negative marking) .

Merit Rule
In case of tie in marks, priority will be given based on performance in groups:
D > C > B > A.

Counselling and Admission
Candidates who qualify are invited to participate in online counselling from 27 June 2025 onwards.
The process includes registration, document upload, choice filling, seat allotment, and fee payment.
Documents required include 10th & 12th mark sheets, domicile certificate, category certificate (if applicable), and admit card .
